FILM

kami no aika I 2025

If nature could speak, what would it say to us? How would it perceive us? As divine beings, the Kami—mythological entities of nature derived from Shintoism—have become witnesses to the ongoing estrangement between humankind and nature, an alienation met with sorrow.

With the Kami as our point of reference, we begin to hear unfamiliar frequencies that reveal how the world is undergoing change. We catch glimpses of uncanny, otherworldly phenomena amidst the familiar. From a certain distance, we observe humans and their powerful forces – and we listen to the elegy of the Kami.
